Novacor® LVAS
WorldHeart's Novacor® LVAS is an implanted, wearable system that provides pulsatile circulatory support for patients with life-threatening heart failure. Novacor® LVAS has been implanted in more than 1,700 patients, and is the first mechanical circulatory support device to support a single patient for more than six years.
Unmatched Reliability
In the nearly 100 medical centers worldwide that use Novacor® LVAS, it is renowned for its reliability, durability and predictability of wear. Of the more than 1,700 Novacor® LVAS recipients to date, 172 primarily Bridge-to-Transplant patients have been supported by Novacor® LVAS for more than one year. Among these recipients, 45 have been supported for more than two years, 24 for more than three years, 11 for more than four years and 1 for more than six years. Only 1.4% of the pumps have needed replacement. No patient deaths have been attributed to Novacor® LVAS failure.
