WorldHeart's pioneering first-generation Novacor LVAS has been clinically used since 1984, having served more than 1800 patients in North America, Europe and Japan. In 2008, its sale was discontinued worldwide. WorldHeart and its Novacor clinical centers continue to support patients who are still using the Novacor LVAS.
