WorldHeart's pioneering first-generation Novacor LVAS has been clinically used since 1984, having served more than 1800 patients in North America, Europe and Japan. In 2008, its sale was discontinued worldwide. Additionally, WorldHeart's Levacor® VAD was implanted in 15 subjects during a Bridge-to-Transplant clinical study, which was discontinued in July 2011. Three subjects continue to be supported by the device.

Human Trials for the MiFlow™ and PediaFlow® VADs have not started.
